Efficacy against advection frosts
Among the many dangers to which crops are subjected are the much feared advection frosts caused by a sharp drop in temperatures that occurs when a very cold or icy air mass bursts from the high European latitudes not allowing the stratification of the air hot and therefore thermal inversion.
Each crop, be it arboreal or horticultural, suffers from it differently, depending on the variety, intensity, vegetative period of the plant and the season in which they occur.
In recent years, following climate change, there has been an increase in these extreme manifestations on all European production areas.
GENER offers in combination with the wind machines Diesel thermo booster which, placed parallel to the wind machine tower, produce a forced thermal inversion.
